The City

If you're interested in theatre and literature, London England is definitely a place you've heard of before. The population of London is 8,174,100 and is considered a very multicultural city. Cosmopolitan London offers something for everything, delicious cuisine from around the world, high end shopping, market places, and who could miss all the historic buildings. Central London can be divided into the West end, characterized by theatres, shops and entertainment; The City, which has many businesses, courts of law and historic buildings; Westiminster holds government offices and famous attractions such as big ben; Across the river you'll find the South Back with its art venues and concert halls. London holds over 2,000 years of History. Shakespeare's players have walked the streets, Roman legions once ruled the city, the great fire burnt down a large part of the town, Victoria's great age of railways and trade and the Blitz of World War II. The city holds more than 600 art galleries, 250 museums and many other tourist attractions that range from historical sites to modern movie sets. There is no excuse to be bored while you're in London, there's simply so much to see! Be smart about your sight seeing, plan to go to areas you'll be doing a workshop in or doing a tour of. For example, St. Paul's Cathedral is right across the millenium bridge from the Globe Theatre, those attractions can easily be done in a few hours!
On a tight budget? Food can be expensive in the city, but there is one restaurant chain that offers a sit down meal and great deals. Check out http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/ for pub locations near you and the attractions you'll be visiting.
Speaking of budget, the average conversion rate is $1.60 CAN = 1 British Pound. Everything may seem like it's cheaper, but remember to do the conversions!
